"Social DisTancing"
At the Sauerbeck Family Drive-In we are taking the health of our customers, employees and our family very seriously. We are implementing several new policies and procedures that will allow us to provide the most enjoyable and safe entertainment option that we can.
Most of the changes we are seeing stem from government leaders and health officials asking citizens to practice "social distancing" to slow the spread of the Corona virus. With this in mind, our new policies will still allow customers to enjoy a movie with their family as well as minimize community interaction. Community involvement and socializing opportunity has always been a key benefit of the Drive-In, but we are in a unique situation that requires a unique solution.
July 10th Mask Update - Mask are required to be worn by all guests anytime they are away from their own vehicle, this includes going to the concessions for curbside pickup or to the bathroom
Arriving and watching a movie: We ask customers to follow these recommendations:
Arrive early - By arriving early we can spread out customers and avoid lines.
Online Tickets - buy online before arriving for 'contactless' entry
"Skip Parking" - leave empty space between cars of at least 6'
guests may get out of their car, but must maintain 6" distance from other guests
Bathrooms are Open at this time, but please maintain 6' spacing if in line
Please be respectful of other customer's space.
Stay Home if you do not feel well
Concessions: We depend on customers to purchase snacks at the Drive-In in order for us to stay in business. The vast majority of your ticket price goes to Hollywood but the popcorn and candy you buy pay helps to our bills and ensures we will be here for years to come.
We will be trying several new methods to serve concessions:
Online Concession Sales -Customers may purchase snacks before they arrive and use Drive-Thru pickup before they park. just let us know when you arrive and we can get your order ready.
DRIVE-THRU PICKUP - order online before you arrive, We will get your order ready so you can
pick it up BEFORE YOU PARK.
Food Permits - Given our reliance on concession sales, we normally ask customers to not bring any snacks or drinks with them. At this time, Customers who wish to bring their own food would be asked to purchase a "Food Permit" for $5 per vehicle. Permits must be purchased online.
Refills - there will be no refills at this time. If you already have a blue 2020 refillable tub, bring it with you and we will give you a free large popcorn.
Cleaning and Staff: In accordance with recent CDC recommendations, We will be sanitizing all customer surfaces on a regular basis, increasing our kitchen food handling protocols, and requiring more frequent employee hand washing. Our staff is being trained on new procedures to keep our customers and themselves safe.
We are a family owned business and we rely on your family's support so we can keep the Drive-In around for generations to come. We pray for health and happiness for your family and ours.
